For environment.
For a sustainable future.
For a better world.
Measure, reduce, compensate and communicate. That is our goal. And we have already started.
From the beginning of 2023 all energy sources used in our offices will be converted to renewable energy sources. But that is not all. We will put more and more emphasis on creating a sustainable supplier network.
That is why, for the first time in our history, we chose this year not to buy, wrap or send any gifts for the holidays, realising that their production and distribution would generate an impact in terms of emissions equal to as much as four years of energy consumption at our main sites. This is a small gesture, but it will allow us to reinvest the entire amount in offsetting projects, reforestation and green learning actions.
Over the next three years, we will also commit to analysing the emissions generated by each of our projects, aiming to reduce and offset 100 per cent of the CO2 emissions produced by our activities. All this while continuing to communicate our commitment to climate protection in a transparent manner.
Being a responsible company means investing in its resources, in health and safety in the workplace, in training and in the involvement of its employees. And this is our purpose.
Over the next three years, we will take a path of greater commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility issues, developing opportunities and benefits for our resources, contributing to sustainable development and greater social cohesion.
Producing a Sustainability Report, developing awareness-raising activities for employees, offsetting global CO2 emissions, using energy from renewable sources and implementing correct waste disposal practices are just some of the actions we want to put in place.
Our approach to social sustainability is focused on the principles of ethics, welfare, inclusion and employee well-being.
This is why we have chosen to be an active part of change by adhering to the Sustainable Development Goals contained in the UN 2030 Agenda, committing to 7 points that are fundamental to us. This is an action programme for people, planet and prosperity signed in September 2015 by the governments of the 193 UN member countries.
We have always promoted an inspiring work environment, in which talent emerges and space is given to ideas and innovation. We invest in the unique identities of our resources and support the creation of a culture of equality, while also working to initiate projects to embrace the most disadvantaged categories of workers.
Today, it is increasingly important to show the utmost attention and sensitivity to environmental issues and sustainable consumption. Companies are becoming more aware of their global responsibility and are also taking this into account when choosing their partners, buyers and suppliers, seeking to ensure a sustainable path throughout the entire production and distribution process.
This is why we relied on Ecovadis, one of the most important international eco-sustainability rating platforms. EcoVadis is an analysis tool that allows companies to measure their environmental, social and ethical performance through a series of specific indicators. The assessment model is based on four main areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
